Apologies for the delays. Getting back up and running!

I wanted to let people know I wasn't being intentionally rude in my delays to follow up. Since this has gone on so long, I thought I should try to explain and apologize publicly. I've been struggling with significant health and technical issues the past year, and especially the past 2 months, but this week I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. My sincerest apologies for the extended delay and backlog in my responding to people these past 2 months.

While PAX Unplugged was a wonderful experience, it also exacerbated a number of health issues. And I am still recovering.

Additionally I have had some technical issues with my primary systems, that have made my juggling of emails and projects problematic. I am running anywhere from weeks to over a month behind in my sending and responding to emails and phone calls!

For those at PAX, thank you so much for your wonderful support and comments. '

For those I was blessed to sit on panels with, thank you so much for inviting me to participate with such an excellent group of people!

For all those people that gave me cards and wanted to continue our dialog, I will hopefully be getting caught up in the next week or so.

A little more information for those that want to know. Some of you may know about my extended illness and injuries I've been dealing with, but most probably do not know. I prefer not to be public, because I prefer people focus on the work we're doing, rather than on me the person. I don't want my personal issues to muddy the messages that matter. But this has been enough of an issue, long enough, it became clear I should try to explain at least in brief.

Without going into great detail I've been dealing with significant complications from a moderately severe concussive head injury and back injury about a year ago, as well as issues from damaged lungs, and multiple medication complications and impairment. The head injury took about half the year to recover from. The spinal disc injury is still healing, but is many times improved from 1 year ago, maybe about 75% healed now. The lungs, well, I'm down to about 1/5th the medication dosage (the meds also cause significant cognitive impairment but are necessary for breathing), so just starting to get a hint of a clearer head. Hopefully in a few more weeks I can be off the meds.

Thank you for those in the know that have been so patient, understanding, and helpful. I can't thank you enough.

Everyone else, please don't be upset at my extended delays in responding, I'm working hard to get back to you as soon as I can.

Sincerely,

Hawke Robinson
